ADULT DOCENT PROGRAM

Docents are dedicated volunteers who serve as educators and interpreters throughout the Zoo.

In addition, they provide tours and assist with a variety of educational programs both inside the Zoo and in the local community all year long.

Docents commit to three training sessions and at least four hours of volunteering a month.

Applications are due by February 9th, 2024.

ZOO CONSERVATION CREW (ZCC) PROGRAM

This program is intended for High School ages teens. Teens will partake in citizen science projects, participate in conservation efforts, learn about wildlife, and hone their public speaking skills.

As a ZCC member, you will take the knowledge and skills that you learn through training sessions to station around the zoo and educate visitors.

In addition to talking with the public, ZCC members will also learn about local wildlife and help restore habitats.

Training/conservation projects will take place one Sunday a month from September - May.

Applications are due September 15th, 2023.
