The Friends of the Bergen County Zoo is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing financial support to the Bergen County Zoological Park.
Eggstravaganza is a family-friendly spring event where children collect eggs at from various stations around the zoo!
Held annually around Easter, this event also features meet-and-greets with the Easter Bunny, photo opportunities, and optional carousel or train rides!

Eggstravaganza is a family-friendly spring event where children collect eggs from stations located throughout the zoo. The day also includes Easter Bunny meet-and-greets, photo opportunities, and optional carousel and train rides for an additional fee.
Everyone ages 2 and up must have a ticket to attend. Advanced registration is required. There are no refunds.
Don’t forget to bring your own basket for egg collecting! At the end of the event, return your eggs and receive a FREE train or carousel ticket to use on a future visit.

EVENT VOLUNTEERS
Volunteer by helping hand out eggs to children at designated tables located throughout the zoo! All volunteers are required to sign a liability waiver.

What is the recommended age for Eggstravaganza?
Eggstravaganza is family friendly and for all ages!
Please note that only children will receive egg handouts.
What can I expect at this event?
Get out your egg baskets! Eggstravaganza takes place around the Bergen County Zoo. Guests will travel around the zoo and stop at our company-sponsored stations where they will collect treats hidden inside of biodegradable, eco-friendly eggs. You never know what you might get! At the end of the trail, you will find the Easter Bunny ready for a photo opportunity! The zoo is also decorated with plenty of other photo opportunities.
Can I buy tickets at the door?
Zoo, Train, and Carousel tickets must be purchased in advance and will NOT be sold day-of at the front gate.
I bought a ticket for a different time slot but want to come later/earlier in the day. Can I switch my ticket?
Please email friends@friendsofbergencountyzoo.org to inquire about transferring ticket slots. Please note that tickets can only be transferred within the first 24 hours of purchase.
Do I need to be a member to purchase Eggstravaganza tickets?
We highly encourage our patrons to join our membership program to take advantage of all the great perks of being a member! While you do not need to be a member, members are given pre-sale, discounted tickets.
When do general ticket sales begin?
Non-members will have access to tickets through Eventbrite starting Tuesday, March 10th at 9:00 am.
Do you offer refunds?
We do NOT offer refunds for any Eggstravaganza, Eggstravaganza Train, or Eggstravaganza Carousel tickets.
Will the animals be out during Eggstravaganza?
Our animals may have access to their enclosures during the event, but may opt to stay inside of their indoor holdings.
What if the event is postponed or cancelled?
